ASUS, today has revealed a new variant of a graphic card based on the AMD 6770 graphics chipset, which is a mid range graphics card.
What’s special about this card is the fanless design that allows literally a zer0 dB operation. The cooling method used here is a heatsink. Dubbed the directCU method of cooling, it features a massive heat sink, that is supposedly 95% larger and 16% cooler. This card will be an option for people, who hate the whiny fan sound that usually accompanies graphics-intensive games like GTA4 or Crysis.
Other miscellaneous advantages include slightly better performance thanks to the use of super alloys, increases the performance by 15% says ASUS. The GPU is DX11 compatible, has 800 stream processors ( please do not compare with Nvidia, the architectures are different ), and 40 texture units. All this, is supported by a 128-bit memory interface and a 850Mhz clocked engine. Only concern is what the heat levels will be like, considering there is no fan on the GPU.
Crysis 2 in DX11 awaits.
Price – Rs.9750/- excluding taxes, 3 years warranty.

The fastest DX11 GPU
You know Nvidia,Right ? the leading graphics accelerator manufacturer in the world recently getting trumped by their rival.
After getting much criticism for their delayed launch of Fermi range (the GT 4xx series), now, they are trying to one-up ATi, oops AMD, by planning to release a new GPU probably in the GTX 5-series ? maybe GTX 580 ? that would be the fastest GPU on the planet is what Nvidia says.
Apparently they say the GPU is cooler and quieter than the current flagship,GTX 480 . And obviously performance is higher.
Anyhow, they have shown a demo of their new GPU through a gameplay of the awesome call of duty black ops and some tessellation demos.
So, will nvidia come to the top again ?
AMD after it removed the Ati branding from its Graphic card series, is now preparing to launch the next set of the Radeon graphic cards series coming week. Why this is of great importance is that they are already one-up with Nvidia now since Nvidia were so late with their Fermi launch, and so, they will be late for this too.
We can expect 2-3 folds performance increase from the previous generation is what insiders say. Well, for the consumer its happy times 🙂
So, HD6xxx series , anyone ?
