They have done it again, and this time it’s huge. 10 million is the number of Galaxy S II devices sold. Not to the consumers per se, but to the retail channel. We can sum up this statement by Samsung as a boasting. This press release comes in the wake of the massive all-operator U.S launch that has been impending release for quite a long while. What Samsung wants to convey to us is, the retail market in the U.S i.e the operators are very happy to have that device in their shelves. So, mass booking has happened and hence the spike in sales for Samsung.
Samsung have positioned the timing of the Galaxy S II devices to roll out spot on at the time of the iPhone 5/4S launch. Sprint is the only carrier that has already launched the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G ( LOL 😛 ). Every other carrier has stocked it up already, but yet to launch. They are waiting for iPhone to launch, i think. (idiots, i say).
Full PR after the break.
