The Nokia 700 is the first in line of the three new smartphones launched today featuring the brand new Symbian Belle operating system.

The Nokia 700 is called as the smallest smartphone by Nokia. Smallest meaning not the size ,but in terms of volume. We can call it the most compact smartphone. It is very thin at 9.7mm and weighs just 96g. The 700 has a 3.2 inch CBD Amoled display just like the C6-01. Performance of the display in the outdoors must be brilliant. The device is made mostly of plastic, aluminium for the back cover, covered in the front by gorilla glass. Has a neat chin which houses the loudspeaker.

Yes, this comes with a 1 Ghz processor and 512 MB of RAM, with a dedicated GPU that is much faster than the earlier generation of Symbian^3 hardware. A good power up has been given to the Nokia 700 . The battery is slightly on the down side, rated at 1080mAH, same as the C6-01. The device comes in 5 colors and is touted as the most ECO friendly device ever. And do not forget the inclusion of NFC, which is the next big thing in mobile, Nokia has a pretty neat implementation and use case for now apart from mobile payments.

Priced at 270 euros without subisidies and taxes, this is going to be a rocking device and will definitely sell tons ! Overall a worthy successor to the Nokia C6-01 which sells at the same price point nowadays.
